Today we are doing an activity and predicting about what will happen in hundred years time. I think what will happen in hundred years time for people jobs we will make robots to make sure that the world is all secured and safe for the animals and in the ocean. Swimming Safely

This week we were learning about how to swim safely in water. We also this week got swimming lesson but it turned out that it was cancel till next week Wednesday. But I learnt when we were learning about how to swim to always have a supervise like an adult and  know your own limits like how deep you can go. What a Production!

Last night it was my school fascinating production. All the tickets were sold out and it was a full house of animals. It was so nervous but exciting because there were people that were family or friends. All the performance were  marvellous and fantastic. There will be soon coming very back!

Chinese language Week!

Did you know it was Chinese Language Week? As this week we have been very busy this week with my school production. So today my teacher has decide to learn about great things about the great wall of China. We even got an opportunity to explore the continuously great wall of China on google maps.

I learnt that the great wall of China was built over 2,000 years ago back when Qin Shi Huang was the first emperor of China. What I also learnt about the great wall of China that you can see it 100 miles into space and it is one of the seven wonders of the world. One thing I learnt about the great wall of China was that it was made to stop enemies from entering China and that the wall was built by strong men bear hands.

A question I want to ask is How was the Emperor when he ruled China? What exactly year was the great wall of China built?

Motat Trip 2018

Last week Friday me and my school went to Motat in Western Springs and it was fun. We also went there for our trip for school also when we got there it was so massive and humongous when we were arriving to Motat and I was so shocked. We learnt a lot of things like what their cars looked like and what they used to use for transport (trams, olden day bus). It was also very fun and enjoying being there because there was a trampoline and we got to go on it and we had to play this game while we were on it. After we finished exploring around Motat we got to go on a tram ride (what they used to use back in the olden days for transport). Once we finished on the tram ride we had a scavenger hunt and we had to find objects that people used to use in the past.

Trip Waikowhai intermesdite

On Monday the 25th of June the year 6 students from my school Hay Park walked over to Waikowhai intermediate with Miss Berry. We went to there to see how it is for us when we are year 7 or 8 and so we can experience it so we know what we need to do. It was amazing and enjoyable because we got to go on a tour around some of the awesome classes in the school and we got to do some great, challenging and fun activities there as well. The activities that we did was Hard Tech, Food Tech, Art and Music but we only had to do one so I did Hard Tech and it was really fun and marvellous because we got to make a spinning top. I'm looking forward to going there and I can't wait to go to intermediate next year and it

What Happened today?

So today me and my reading group was doing an reading challenge and it was about our group name and my group name was called JK Rowling and we had to make poster presentation about our author name like find out about a lot of fact like when were they born and how did they start their career like information and things like it to find impressive and good. So that what we did for our poster presentation. Also you can learn new stuff and a new thing I learnt was that my author JK Rowling that she wrote the Harry Porter  book and she wrote every single part of the movie like the prisoner of Alakazam and other but that is a shocking fact that I found out today.

So yesterday It was my school athletics day. For you guys out there that don't know Athletic is an day that there are activities that are sport like from the Olympics like running and shot put and high jump those kind of stuff. Also It was a tough game but challenging and fun also it was tremendous. So after all of every team went to each activity we had to meet at the field for an ..... Tug war everyone was so jubilant and they did there immense, good chants my group the red team it went like "Give me a R you got you got you R Give me a e you got your e you gotcha e," and it went like that. So for Tug war the group that came first was the blue team then second was purple then orange then yellow and my team came last after that it was lunch time so after lunch we had to meet back in our teams for first, second, and third. Third place was Yellow and second with 853 point's was green and then first was ....... RED! my team with 857 point's and me and me team was shocked and we celebrated our prize was ice blocks and I hoped you enjoyed my blog post. Please give me feed back about my blog post thank you.

Today news is about a i movie this i movie includes me in it. So me and two of my class mates made for my class assembly today so. We did because we were reading this text about Potato crisis hits New Zealand. So the text was about us running out of Potato here in New Zealand. Chicks explanation

Today I was finishing my chicks explanation about the chicks that were in my class room before. The chicks that was in my class went last week on Friday because we only had them for only two week but it was it fun looking after them for all those times. But now I still miss them but the one that I miss a lot is this chick that we called Carlos because he reminded me of my friend in my rugby team. Over all here is my explanation how to take care of chicks.

How to care for chicks

Introduction

A chick type young bird the will eventually grow into a chicken. They are known as chicks when they are newly hatched. Chicks come from fertilised eggs which here been laid by a female chicken from somewhere. In my class we have chicks that are two weeks old and we have two cockerels that are boys and three pullets that are girls and we only get to keep them for two week. This explanation will tell us how to look after little chicks and how to care them.

Main body

Firstly to look after fertilised eggs you have always make sure they warm and make sure the temperature is 37.7 degrees in the incubator.  Also water and heat create humidity and is moisture makes the eggs hatch much faster and easier. Next once three or two have hatched they can move into the brooder to live there until they are too big to live in the brooder.

Brooder

Once three or two chicks are in the brooder you have to look after them very carefully . Firstly how to look after chicks you have feed them twice a day and fill the water bell up to once to top and to put wood shaving and paper towel so they can sleep and play and so they can enjoy there day. Also in a brooder to because to make them warm you have to get a light bowl that is sixty watts from Pak N save or Count down.  Also for the brooder you always have to change it every thing once a day like the food, water, wood shaving, paper towel to make sure they live clean.

Conclusion

For all time, It is little bit tricky to look after cute, fluffy chicks. Without any help it is hard to look after chicks by yourself and to feed and to provide water and to change everything like their house where the live and the food and water by yourself. Also sometimes chicks can be annoyed by digging there own food.But chicks are very fun and great to look after.        

Merc camp 2017

Camp 2017

Intro

On  wednesday the 26th of july year 5-6s went on a camp to Merc named after a man called Sir peter blake. Sir peter blake was a strong, brave man that fight against pirates that came to new zealand. When we got to camp we got introduced to the team at Merc their names were Jazz, Kaff, Vlad, Darren, and also my favorite Dave. After that we got straight into activities that we had to do. My group was called group 2 because we were that best but our first activity was doing teamwork sessions so our first we pull this rope then one person has to work on the rope then get to the place that they at before.

Hi blogger world, 

Today me and my classmates were making kites in our class. It was so fun making kites because you got to design our own kite. The most challenging part is putting the sticks and the string but the string part is harder because you have to roll and roll. But I still enjoyed building it.

This in Henderson class room my class it is Samoan langue week and this it means a lot to Samoan people because it is a special week for them. In my class we have been learning about Samoan people and their island. We have been doing for Samoan week is tapa cloth it is kind of and traditional thing for island people because tapa cloth are very expanse and it is means a lot to people because it might came from their ant sisters and also on Wednesday this teacher called Miss Tau shared some of her things from Samoa like this war weapon that Samoan people use to use for the war.
